Never…

Never go shopping 2 days before Christmas. its AWFUL. Especially when you got 2 ft of snow a couple weeks before. Seriously, I thought we were going to get slaughtered while in Target by all those little old ladies looking for last minute Dora the Explorer dolls for their granddaughters. I am so thankful I am home now. Even though it was REALLY nice to get out of the house for a little bit. I have been stuck in here for days, which is fine, but I was starting to get a little anxious and I think I was spending way to much time on facebook. Actually I dont think it, I KNOW I was spending a little to much time on facebook. I apologize for all of the wall post and picture comments everyone, hahaha, because I think I commented and wrote on like every one of my friend’s walls the past couple of days. I do not know if I will have time to write tomorrow or Christmas Day, but I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

I love waking up in the morning and smelling the christmas tree. It smells so nice. I could never get a fake tree, these are too beautiful. Ours is really fat!

We still have lots of snow…

Its going to take a while before all of our snow goes away :) It’s fine with me. We are going to have a White Christmas :D

Sleeping in...

I totally hate when I sleep in this late. Its really annoying. I don't want to sleep in, but I do. It takes away half the day! Especially when I am on Vacation, I would rather be spending this time with my friends and family :( I try setting an alarm, but I either sleep through it or turn it off and fall back asleep. It's a huge pain.

The roads here are still a mess. No one is really driving. Yesterday was nice though, we had our family Christmas party yesterday. We celebrated my cousin Braden, Ammanda's and my Dad's birthday yesterday as well as having a white elephant exchange. Usually we do secret santa, but this year we did a good white elephant exchange. It was so much fun! We each had to buy a present between 5 and 10 dollars, and it had to be something good and that anyone could really use. Stealing the presents from each other was fun, and I ended up with a basket of things for my nails, which is really nice since I have horrible nails. I don't really know what my plans are for the day, I will have to wait and see. I think I am going to help my mom bake some cookies. :)

Dont you just love it when you are exhausted but cant fall asleep? Its so awesome. NOT.

Snowed In

24 Inches of Snow! Oh my word, I love it!! My cousin Jenna is here for the weekend with her family, but she stayed at our house last night. We watched the Muppet's Christmas Carol, and before that I went shopping with Marcel, my dad and my grandpa :) That is when it started snowing. Its so beautiful! I LOVE the snow. Jenna and Mom went out and played in. I am still in my pajamas and we are all watching NCIS, its nice. I think I am going to go make some hot chocolate....with marshmallows.

We will probably just hang out at the house all day (since we can't really go anywhere) and tomorrow we have our family christmas party. we are having a white elephant exchange, so that should be pretty fun :) then tomorrow night we are having another white elephant exchange with our small group. I love Christmas!

Bothersome...

You know what bothers me??? Dating couples who act like they are married. hahahaha.... its so annoying. And then they break up, and its like they got divorced or something. It's actually pretty hilarious to watch :D

Having a headache and trying to fall asleep is probably one of the worst combination know to mankind. Ug this bothers me. WHY CANT I FALL ASLEEP?!

Totally worn out

So last night I slept better than I have in a VERY long time. Way before camp. It was awesome. When Lauren woke me up this morning though she scared me half to death. I jumped, hahaha....

I did nothing all day, and its so nice. Well I actually did something, I made supper. Spaghetti :) It was good if I do say so myself.

Now I am watching NCIS with my dad, Lauren and Lee. I am starting to get tired and might head to bed soon.

Coloring in my coloring book relieves stress. And its also a whole lot of fun :)

Its really nice being home. Today i haven't done much of anything. I took my brother to the store to get some pants and now i am watching the grinch.

Christmas Break!

Hey everyone! So i am DONE WITH MY VERY FIRST SEMESTER AT LU!!! woot woot!! It was SO AWESOME, o my word I love it! I am glad to be home but I am also sad that I won't get to see my friends for a month, but I know that God is faithful and that He will pull me through. Last night me and the girls all went out to eat and spent all of Megan's meal points :D hahaha, it was awesome! I came back and me and my awesome roomies CLEANED our room from top to bottom. it was insanely dirty. then i studied forever from my last exam which I had this morning. uggg I hope I did well, not sure. I then got lunch, hung out with friends, packed up my stuff, said my goodbyes and headed home. Its nice not having any homework due or anything :) I took Marcel to the bank and Lauren's boyfriend Lee tagged along while we waited for Lauren to come back from cleaning at camp. I tell ya, ATM machines can be so tricky! (pahahah)

Then Michael came over and all of us went out looking at Christmas lights. some people go ALL OUT its hilarious. We then headed over to the park and looked at all the lights they had set up there. It was really pretty. We then came back and Ruth and Rachel came over and we watched Elf ♥ I LOVE that movie! Then everyone went to bed except I just finished watching two episodes of the Office...love!!

I can't believe that Christmas is only a little more than a week away. I can't believe it. It was so hard being at school. It was christmasy and stuff, but nothing (no matter how cheesy it sounds) beats Christmas at home. Our Christmas tree is HUGE. O my word, its so fat!! I would post up a picture but my camera is broken, so I don't have any. But Its a nice tree, i love it!

I have a month off, thank goodness for no school work :)

Why is north campus always so freezing cold? Do they not believe in HEAT here? honestly. it better be better heated next semester.

I finished my first semester at LU! it was an awesome semester. i am really going to miss my friends here over break :( i am heading home in a bit :)

I am up here at lodge studying for my exams.... The view is BREATHTAKING. i love living in virginia.

Home for the weekend

Home for the weekend! I got to sleep in today, no exams! I got up and packed stuff for the weekend but then I also packed stuff for when I come home on break so there was a lot of stuff. I went and got McDonalds for me and some Ice Coffee for Katie :) I came home and Elizabeth was here! I was SO excited! I haven't seen her for like 9 months :) It was awesome, I have really missed her. 

Right now we are watching NCIS and just relaxing. I made some cookie dough with my dad, lee, and lauren and  now I am facebook stalking people-watch out.

{read post below first} regular convo. Then i slept and went to starbucks :) i am going to miss LU while i am on break.

So today was so much fun. I went to christmas convo in the morning with my friends which was hilarious. Its a convo they have every year which makes fun of

I wonder...

I want to be a counselor for teenagers and middle schoolers. But sometimes I think about how hard its going to be. These kids are so broken, so many things have happened to them. I wonder what its going to be like and if I am going to be any good at helping them at all. I haven't really been through anything THAT terrible in my life. Will they even listen to me?? Its hard sometimes to think about.... why should they listen to my advice when I have never gone through what they have. I struggle with it often even now with my friends. I try and help. I guess the best thing I can do is to point them to God's word and what He has to say. Because He has been through it all.

I am really praying about being an SLD or RA....I feel like God wants me to be an SLD...I think I am going to try out for it.

Please pray for me as I make my decision :)

Went to church tonight :) Got to see my friends. Now I am going to sleep! Tomorrow at eleven is christmas convo. its suppose to be hilarious, can't wait to go :)

It is freezing outside. I hate this cold weather. I never seem warm enough even with two jackets, gloves, scarves or a hat. I think i am going to turn into

I hate it. I am so tired but then i go to bed and i cant sleep. Bothers me to death! So i just ate food which is horrible to do i know. Sleep! Plz come!

I love the sound of rain on the roof here. Its so beautiful. I hope it freezes and we wake up to a winter wonderland :)

FREEDOM!

This weekend was super busy! Lydia came up to visit, which was so much fun!
My group of friends did a secret santa party :) First we went to the Olive Garden and dressed up, everyone looked so beautiful! when we were done we all went to demoss and took pictures everywhere. then we headed back and had our own little christmas party. we ate peppermint bark and exchanged gifts :) Lindsey had me and she got me some lotion from bath and body works. i also got gifts from meggie (gloves), sarah ( a speech about me haha) katie (chocolate, pajama bottoms, and two notebooks) and casey and lydia both got me mugs with hot chocolate :) i love hot chocolate :) especially with fluff.

today was my last day of classes! hurray!! i am soooo relieved. my debate presentation went really well, and now i just have my two exams next week.

o my goodness, i need to sleep :)

Rain....again

I really wish this rain would go away. Today I wanted to look cute for no reason, so I put on some nice slacks and some heels and my red jacket. Yeah. It was totally POURING out. I got soaked because I forgot my umbrella. It was AWFUL. And I had straightened my hair and it totally poofed and look awful. So I came back after my prayer leader meeting and changed into sweats. I then proceeded to walk to the pizza hut we have on campus and get a pizza and a drink. yeah. have you ever tried to carry a soda, a box of pizza and umbrella all at once? I made a mess. I spilt soda on myself and I squished my pizza box. it was pretty epic, not going to lie. By the time I got back my pizza was not as hot as I would have wanted it to be but it was still good.

I went to a BEAUTIFUL show tonight, it was a Christmas show and it was SO wonderfully done, it was really professional.

Okay I really need to go to bed, I have to get up early tomorrow. ONLY TWO MORE DAYS OF CLASSES! YAY!!

Visiting Family

yesterday was thanksgiving!! it was great, there were TONS of people here at the house  (i am staying with my cousins) and it was amazing. we ate around two thirtyish and the food was GREAT. marcel really liked it I think. after we all just hung out and then we watched Christmas Vacation and the Santa Claus. I LOVE that movie and  I hadn't watched it in a while. I love my family and the holidays that we get to share together :) Very special to me. Today we woke up and went shopping! Dad gave me some money but I only spent a tiny bit of it. All of my Christmas gifts are going to be really really small this year, but I dont think anyone will really mind that much. I love Christmas, and gifts are always nice but I wouldn't mind if I didn't get anything at all. And I really mean that. I love just spending time with people i care about and now its TIME FOR CHRISTMAS! YAY!!!! I LOVVVVVEEE Christmas music and food and just, everything :D hahaha.... but anyways, so I went shopping and then came back. Since they we have been hanging out, watching westerns and playing games. I talked to anna for a bit which was really nice, she is hilarious, she has some really funny stories. Then...I got to do something exciting....like epic. HOMEWORK!!! YAY!!!! O THE THRILLS!!!!!! I LOVE HOMEWORK!!! ESPECIALLY ON BREAK!!!!! YAY!!!!! not. gag me now. I decided to finish it tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to the movies then heading back home :( I am sad. Dani is sad. Sad. Sad. Sad.

We had a beautiful thanksgiving! Today we went shopping, my feet hurt though. Now we are going to go home and play games. I am so tired!

I got up this morning and went and picked mom up from the tire place while they worked on her car. Afterwards we went to Starbucks and both got tall Peppermint Mocha. it's Christmas in a Cup :)

Home for break!

So I know I haven't exactly been faithful to writing in this thing, but I am going to try alot harder to!!

I am on thanksgiving break! finally!  its soooo relaxing so far. I have done nothing all day. I feel lazy!!

Yesterday was nice...i slept in late and then went out for lunch with my grandparents, and then later on that night I went to the movies with my brother and a bunch of friends to see 2012...it was really good, kinda dramatic, but good. The line was INSANE for the people going to see Twilight. Like lines outside the movie theater. I will probably go see it after its been out for a while so I won't have ot stand in line forever. I am not a huge fan but I really enjoyed the books (I still haven't read the last one yet, and I dont think I finished the one before that)

Today was good, I think I sprained my toe! It hurt SO BAD! I always gagging and almost passed out. I thought I broke it but I looked out it just now and I don't think its broken, but it hurts so bad. Lee came over tonight and we all watched Pelham 123. It was a prety decent movie, i wasn't a huge fan due to all the swearing in it, but I guess the plot was pretty good. After that we watched Criminal Minds and CSI Miami. Its funny watching like actually tv programs, I haven't watched them in a while, just movies or shows over netflix. I really love being home, except I am not tired at all since I am programed to school time. Its kind of annoying.

I don't really know what the plans are for tomorrow, I think we are doing our bible study tomorrow night, which will be nice.

Beautiful Day

Its a very beautiful day outside. I love it. I just woke up after a horrible nights sleep, I kept having bad dreams. I didn't go to church this morning because of it (I know, i am a sinner!! :D ) I dont have any plans today as of yet. Probably just relaxing and doing homework and waiting for most of my friends to return from back home this weekend, the hall is so quiet without alot of people here!!

Back at school!!!!!!!!!

I had so much fun this past weekend at home! On saturday it was my dad's work party, and even though it was a little cold it was still fun as it always is! My cousin Jenna was down visiting so that was pretty awesome. There was a pig roast and games (which I didn't win any), and we made a pretty sweet video in the woods (haha sorry dad). After that I went up to Lauren's school with her and Jenna, and we hung out and ate some pretty good food. Sunday was my brother's birthday! Happy birthday travis! He is 17, I can't believe it! so we partied with friends and family all day which was really nice that i could get to see some people i hadn't seen in a while.

I got back to school yesterday and I went to Wal Mart with Katie, Lacy and her two roommates. While they were in Wal Mart Katie and I went to Target and then waited outside in the parking lot for them. While we were there we proceeded to sing VERY LOUDLY to some people over the phone....and it was all Christmas songs. :) It was pretty sweet. We then drove over to Sonic and then back over to pick up the ladies. After I got back I went and studied with Kelly and her brother David and my awesome roomie Bianca for Bible. Then I got back and crammed for three tests that I have been studying for all weekend. I took them all today. Blah. Bible was SUPER EASY, Psych was hard, and Evan  was just okay. Either way I am GLAD its over with.

Tomorrow I have my prayer leader meeting, then a meeting with my adviser at 2:30 and then tomorrow night I am meeting with my psych group to go over an assignment that is due Thursday.....

Tonight was alot of fun. I love my friends on the hall and i love all the fun we had. I sand and danced for Casey, Megan, Sarah, Lindsey and Katie some Nysnc Christmas music which is now being shown to everyone via facebook. Thank you katie.

Well I have to go clean my room-and now Bre is singing, nice Bre HAHAHA-for room checks tomorrow,

Back at school

So fall break was pretty much amazing, and I am having the HARDEST time trying to get back into the swing of things at school! I dont want to do anything but hang out with friends and sleep...AND NOT do homework. But I just finished an assignment so I feel somewhat accomplished. :)

I just got back from shopping with Katie, I didn't get anything but she had one a 25 dollar gift card to Target so it was fun to go along for the ride. In a bit I am heading over to campus church and I am meeting up with Rob, Chris and his girlfriend so that will be good :)

Its really raining and cold here and i HATE IT! Yesterday was so warm and sunny and then today its so cold. We are all going to get sick, BLUCK (as mam would say).

Classes are going really well, we are halfway done! I can't believe it. I have been here for 2 months! Time FLIES when you are busy and having way to much fun.  I thank God for all my new friends and the good times we have, there is always something to keep me amused here. I am going home this weekend for my brother's birthday, so that will be nice, because as much as I love it here...nothing beats going home :)

Another week!

Another week of school! CFAW is this weekend, so that should be exciting! This past weekend was awesome! My whole family came up for the football game and Lauren brought her new boyfriend up to visit :D I know who he is and he is an awesome guy. It POURED at the football game and we stood out there for hours in it, and left at halftime, but it was still worth it! It was so awesome!

Today was nice and relaxing. I went to convo and then I went and did some more laundry, since I had to wash all my wet clothes from the weekend, plus I had a little incident with the lemonade last night and needless to say my snowman blanket got a LITTLE sticky. So I did that and then I went and checked out the Rugged Warehouse that is right down the road from my school, I got a dress for 3 dollars!! Now that is a bargain for a broke college kid. I came back after I did homework in the computer lab for a few hours and I took a niccccccccccccceeeee long nap. I then went to Moe's with Katie and Lindsey and we had quite the exciting adventure. We brought our food back and ate with Casey and Megan and then went up to the bookstore for a bit. Now I am back working on my paper, I am more than halfway done, praise the Lord!

I LOVE IT HERE! I am so busy all the time which I love, and I have made so many awesome friends. There is always someone to hang out with and something to do! I also have been laughing so hard I cry, and I LOVE IT!! Tomorrow is going to be a good day, Laundry and then going out to eat with a group of friends. Today was good too, long though, basically I have done nothing. I had class allllllllllllllllllllllllll day and then I came back and slept forever. Haha, then went out with Katie, Meg and Casey, came back and did homework, and then shower....and now bed! But life here is great, I miss you guys so much!!!!!

Forgiveness- My God thought of the day :D

So I am deciding what to do for my prayer group Tuesday, and I am torn between Comfort and Forgiveness, but I thought I would just share what the bible says about forgiveness- both about how He forgives us and how we need to and are called to forgive others. Enjoy!

Forgive

–verb (used with object)

1.	to grant pardon for or remission of (an offense, debt, etc.); absolve.

2.	to give up all claim on account of; remit (a debt, obligation, etc.).

3.	to grant pardon to (a person).

4.	to cease to feel resentment against: to forgive one's enemies.

5.	to cancel an indebtedness or liability of: to forgive the interest owed on a loan.

6.	to pardon an offense or an offender.

God forgives us for what we do, and therefore we should forgive others. I have come to realize its alot easier said than done....how many people do we not talk to anymore because they upset us and we refuse to forgive and forget? How many people do we still hold grudges against because we refuse to let the offenses against us go? Its hard sometimes too, when its something major. If someone killed our parents, are we suppose to forgive them and be all buddy buddy with them? I don't believe that is what Christ is trying to say, I believe we are suppose to forgive them in our heart and just let all the anger we had against them go...that doesn't mean we have to hang out with the person who killed our parents! Its so hard though, because people make us angry and we just don't want to talk to them anymore or have anything to do with them. But I ask you this....does it really matter what they did to you? In the long run, whats worth more....losing a friend because of something they did against you, or keeping a friend after forgiveness has happened and trust is built back up? In the long run, does staying mad at your friend really matter? What if your friend (or family member or whoever, I am just using an example)  would die tomorrow and you never got to say your sorry or ask for forgiveness? I know that makes me think.....anyways.....I dont know if I am making sense or not, but I am going to try from now on to forgive those who have done me wrong and then just move on. there is no sense holding on to all the hurt and anger for so long, it will just make you miserable :)

John 20:23
If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Another busy day in paradise....

Went to convo today! It was all about why we should vote and stuff, which was pretty good. I changed my voter registration so that I will be able to vote here, especially since alot of the local issues are things that affect the students here. So that was good :) I really liked the speaker and the stories about his family. Afterwards, I did the exciting adventure of...LAUNDRY!!!! Yes, I know the excitement is just overwhelming up inside of you, but please try and contain yourselves. So that was fun, I kinda just did that throughout the day....first I went and washed them, then I came back and put them in the dryer, then I came back and folded them up and took them back to my dorm (I took Randi and Bre with me that time). I spent alot of the day just relaxing and having some alone time which is sometimes needed here. I took a walk, which was nice, after the sun had come out. Then I went to Judgement House with Lindsey and Crystal, which was really good. It was really sad but I really enjoyed it, if you can enjoy something like that. But it was just really good and last I heard I believe they had like ....17 people get saved tonight, which is AWESOME.

I really enjoy how Satan was portrayed in this skit...but since Lauren may be reading this and she is going to be seeing it tomorrow, I wont say anything about it until AFTER Judgement House is over.

Sarah and Lauren are coming up tomorrow! yay!! I am very excited, I can't wait to see them. I plan on just sleeping in tomorrow really late, but I may be getting up to skype elizabeth! YAY! I hope I can, I miss her so much!! My best friend is a missionary over in South Africa, and I really really really miss her.

Love to be busy!

Hey everyone, so I know I haven't posted in a couple days, I am sorry! But life has been a bit busy. I am starting to get more and more homework, so its pretty cool :D 

Today was a good day :) I just got back from supper with Linds and Casey, then coffee with Bianca, and then laughing hysterically with Katie and Sarah. I really should be doing homework right now....I have one more bible verse to memorize and I have to work on my psych outline which i have absolutely NO desire to do. I mean, seriously, who likes to read Psych articles? NOT me. haha...

anyways, so I made an idiot out of myself today. I was just walking around campus heading to supper, and I was carrying a notebook with some papers on top. Well Mr. Wind came and blew one of the papers off the stack and I started chasing it down the sidewalk because it was important. Well I couldn't catch it and I kept laughing which made it even harder. Then it took a sharp right up a hill and I went to run after it, but I am wearing my slippery flippy floppys, so i slipped and fell RIGHT on my butt in front of everyone. I was laughing so hard, and I got grass stains on my jeans. Delightful. I know.

I really love the fellowship of this school. And the SLD's and RA's are amazing to just talk to and pour out your heart to. I am really grateful that God brought me to the school and has given me so many new amazing friends, and for the leadership on my hall. I really wish everyone could experience this with me!!!

I am home for the weekend! Its really nice just to get a break and to relax and collect myself. Weeks at school go by so fast! Every minute of my day is filled with something, and when its not I am either napping (yes, I know fully understand the concept of napping since I do it atleast twice a week at school now) or doing homework!
Right now I am just relaxing at home even though there are a few things I should be doing at the moment, I have a book to start reading a quiz to do...I really should go work on that when I am done here! I am baking brownies at the moment, I should also go check on those....*checks* okay I have 2 minutes before they are done! 
Today was nice, I slept in late and then after I woke up I went with Michael to go drop my sister off at her school, so that was nice. When we got back I went to a cookout with my family and Marcel, who is our German exchange student who is staying with us who is SO NICE. i am so glad he could come to America! I am heading back to school tomorrow, I am kinda sad because I love and miss my family alot. I also miss the cooking! I am so sick of eating caf food and pizza hut! But I do LOVE school so so so much and I am going to miss it when I leave (which is a whiles away so I don't know why I am thinking about it right now!) I also got to see my grandparents last night which was really nice and my sister and brother!

Today was good, went to classes and had lunch with Jillian :) Then I went to my last class and then had supper with Casey, Lindsey and Megan, then went to the Gym with Lindsey and Katie. Then prayer groups, now facebook and perhaps homework before i sleep. O! And I had an hour nap today from 5 to 6. It was beautiful ♥

Thinking

So I am up late, thinking away. I keep thinking about all the great messages I have heard in the past couple weeks of being here. The one about honoring marriage last week was really good, he talked about how this world doesn't honor marriage anymore and about how even if we are single and/or remain single for the rest of our lives, we are still called to honor marriage, the marriage of  others. It was such a great service, I plan on posting up the notes I took from it, as with the notes I will be taking on the upcoming convos. I love taking notes and stuff so I can go back and read them later, or so I can share the message with others. The guy also talked about how people are like "Do EVERYTHING you want to do before you get married because once you do you can't do anything" and he shared with us a verse in Ecclesiastes that talks about going through hard time with your wife or something of the sort, and how he talks about that the husband and wife are made to GO THROUGH the daily grind of life together and how that having someone along side you while you do live out your dreams and goals is awesome! And then there was the message from King about depression and Getting Up and stuff, and it just really was awesome! I just love how much I am getting from this school and everything I am learning about.

Great Weekend!

 

This weekend was so much fun! Yesterday Lauren, Travis, Marcel, Aaron and Michael came from back home and we met up with Katie, Albert, Charlie, Kourtney and Jon and we all went out to eat at the Olive Garden for Michael's birthday. Afterwards the girls went and got starbucks as the guys headed over the exitement of a place I like to call Wal Mart. Then we met back up and went Ice Skating, and I didn't fall praise the Lord (even though Katie did). Afterwards we went out to eat at Docs, and had a great time even though it took a bit for us to eat our food, we didn't care! We drilled Marcel with a whole bunch of questions about Germany, poor guy! But he was alot of fun and He got to try Mac and Cheese for the very first time in his life! 

I am very very tired today, I slept through church (heathen, I know) But I met up today with my Aunt Kathy and Evan who were looking at a school down here, and I had lunch with them. Now all I want to do is take a nap. So that is what I am going to do! Nap time :D

Tomorrow I am bringing Bre to the airport and then I am heading to the soup kitchen with the brother dorm, AWESOME! I can't wait. :D Bed time!

Crazy Day

What a crazy day, I feel like  I have been running none stop. I am also getting a taste of what it is going to be like to be a Christian counselor, its extremely overwhelming! I am not doing too much at the moment, except getting ready to study and do homework while watching the office :) I am just trying to catch some alone time at the moment, feels like I have been around people all day....o wait....i have :D

Classes were good today, I got a drink before Bible so I wasn't falling asleep the whole time, and then I went to one of my psych classes and found out I had a quiz that I totally forgot about! I did pretty good though! I was impressed. It was about Sigmund Freud, and I have read about that quack so many times so I knew alot about him. :D All the other classes went pretty well, and then I walked alllllllllllllllllllll the way to my dorm and then walked allllllllllllll the way to my classroom for evangelism and then realized i forgot my books and so i had to walk allllllllllllll the way back to my dorm and then allllllllllllll the way back. My mom can testify since she was on the phone with me. hahaha....

They have a movie night tonight, I think I am going to watch it, excitement! :)

My first post!

So I did it, I finally got around to create this blog I have been wanting to make forever. Since I have been SOOOOO busy here at LU i thought I would start one so everyone could see what I have been up to and what I am doing throughout the day so come back often, I will try to write in it about everyday or so.

LIFE HERE IS AMAZING! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVVVVVE IT HERE! The classes are awesome, all my teachers are pretty normal, I have made LOTS of new friends and I love the campus and being busy. There is always sometime to do! Like Friday they have a movie and a late skate, Saturday they have horseback riding and tubing the river! I am doing the movie, but on Saturday I have friends coming in from out of town so that will be fun :) Also, Friday my dorm is going to the soup kitchen and the nursing home, I really want to go! I think it will be a great experience.  Then next weekend is white water rafting, which I don't think i will be doing because the thought if it truly terrifies me HAHAHAHA. :D

So for those of you who haven't heard, I have become a prayer leader on my hall :) I felt that God was leading me in that direction and it was actually an answer to prayer! I LOVE IT so far! Its a position of leadership, and thanks to GBC I now have alot of experience with that so hopefully the skills I learned there will play a big part in :) There is alot to do though! Every tuesday after hall meeting we meet in our prayer groups and I share and we discuss things, I LOVE the girls I have in my group, they are so awesome! I even made them sing a song and stuff last night, hopefully they didn't think I was too crazy. But this group is going to be really awesome, and I have alot of things planned for them this semester. Then on Wednesday I have my Prayer Leader meetings which are good, i was kinda overwelmed though today. I have a test to take and I have to write a paper on a book they gave us. BUT I do get a free t-shirt. so that was a plus hahaha.

I love the ministry here. I know some people get fed up with going to convo 3 days a week, or the dress code, or curfew....i just like to ask, then why did you come? didn't you read up on anything before you came to the school that you were paying for? hahaha it makes me laugh. But I do not mind it at all. I love all the speakers and trying to soak up more infomation about our Lord and Savior. It just amazing. I love everything here, except for maybe trying to get up to catch a bus at 7:15 in the morning with my awesome roomie Bianca. I love my roommates, Bianca and Bre, they are so awesome :)

My day today was pretty good. I got up and went to convo, I was up late talking to one of the girls in my group, she is HILARIOUS. Her name is Colleen and she has some really funny stories. So then I got up, went to convo, then walked around and got some lunch and some starbucks at the bookstore. After that I headed over and had my PL meeting and then when I was finished with that I came back and met up with Brittni, another girl in my group, and I went with her to the doctors because I told her that I wouldn't want to go alone if I had to go so I thought she could use some company :) Now I am here doing some psych homework and just writing on this thingy. :) I really miss my family, and I miss sleeping but in the end God is good, even through the awful times. In a bit I am heading out to eat with my brother dorm and then to Spiritual Emphasis Week to hear that awesome speaker! He is SO GOOD. :D
