Joy #50 - Joy in packing

It seems like I live out of a suitcase. But I never cease to find joy in packing. Because packing, as cheesy as it sounds, means that you are starting something. Like an adventure. I leave for camp in less than TWO days. Tomorrow is one of the last times I will get to spend the day with my sister before she marries. I am going to miss everyone this summer!

Anyways, back to the packing. Packing is kind of fun! It's an opportunity for me to go through my stuff:
"O my gosh. This shirt is ugly. WHY did I buy this again?"
"What...is....this?"
"THERE IT IS! I have been looking for this forever!"

hahaha, that is seriously how it goes every time. I am not the neatest packer either. And I really do have to sit on my suitcase to get it closed. I thought it was something that people just did in movies...until I packed for camp 4 years ago....hahahaha.

Okay, this may be random but does anyone else have trouble packing mouth wash? Okay, the lid on mine NEVER stays close. And it leaks all over my suitcases. I have these big white spots all of them....pahahaha wowwww.

Joy #49 - Joy in Dr. Pepper

Today I found joy in Dr. Pepper. O yes. My favorite soda. I love the taste of it. It's so yummy and I love to drink it when I am having a bad day. I didn't have a bad day, actually my day was really good, but I did get to have two cans of it. :D I should probably cut back on the soda, but still....Dr. Pepper is amazing.
I even have a pair of Dr. Pepper pajama bottoms that my bestie Kourtney got me and I am wearing them right now.

I leave for camp Sunday!! I am packing everything up tomorrow. WHOO!!!

Joy #48 - Joy in my easy bake oven

Okay, so today I found joy in something that may seem a little silly....but I found joy in baking in my easy bake oven. When I was little I always wanted one and one year for Christmas my sister ended up getting. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! This past year I had posted a blog post about how I wanted one and a friend read it and actually went and bought me one! My dad picked me up the light bulb I needed during the school year so I decided to use it tonight. It was yummy! Lee, Lauren and I made sugar cookies and a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. :D So good! Tomorrow night I am going to make some brownies.

I can't believe I leave for camp Sunday...this is crazy!

Joy #47 - Joy in preparing for camp

I leave for camp Sunday! Tonight I am going to make some decorations for my cabin. I love getting ready for camp! It's going to be a great summer. I would like to ask all of you to pray for me as I go throughout the summer! I am going to try and blog as much as I can and keep you guys updated on some of the things I will be doing. I am sad that it is my last week at home :( After I get back from camp I go back to school the next day. I know God has great things in store for the summer and the fall but I am going to miss being at home.

Okay so this is similar to my thankfulness post, but it's what I did today :)

We went to Kings Dominion! I love it. I had so much fun! I love roller coasters. They are SO MUCH FUN! I found joy in riding them with my friends today. I am exhausted though and need to sleep!

Today I found joy in going to a lake for my brother's graduation party. It was so great! I love sitting on the sand, talking to friends and eating good food. It was a great day! We had lots of fun. I really wish I could go to the beach sometime soon :)

So my joy today is the same as my thankfulness post. But I found joy in watching my baby brother graduate today. Also along with some other friends of mine. ♥ Congratulations to the class of 2011! I am proud of you guys!

This just really hit spoke to me today. I love these words and found joy in them today because they were spoken by Jesus. :)

The poor, the ones who mourn, the meek, the hungry and the thirsty will all be taken care of.  :)

Joy #42 - Joy in the Lord's provision

Tonight I found joy in the Lord's provision. My dad and I got on to do my financial aid for school tonight and it turns out we don't owe ANYTHING for next year! The Lord provided! :) It's awesome. I am so thankful that our God (the only God) loves us and cares for us enough to take care of us. :)

Today I went to my camp and cleaned all the cabins to prepare for the counselors and campers. It was a lot of work. And it was hot out. I feel SO SORE but I love the feeling of getting a lot accomplished.

I am so excited about camp!! I leave in a week and a half. Wow!

Joy #40 - Joy in Lotion

Wow! I can't believe I am on my 40th day of joys! This is crazy! :) Today I found joy in lotion. I love lotion. I love the many unique scents they have (just like candles!) and how soft your skin feels afterwards. I HAVE TONS of lotion. I am trying to use a lot of it up so I can get new stuff. What are some of your favorite lotion fragrances?
