Another week!

Another week of school! CFAW is this weekend, so that should be exciting! This past weekend was awesome! My whole family came up for the football game and Lauren brought her new boyfriend up to visit :D I know who he is and he is an awesome guy. It POURED at the football game and we stood out there for hours in it, and left at halftime, but it was still worth it! It was so awesome!

Today was nice and relaxing. I went to convo and then I went and did some more laundry, since I had to wash all my wet clothes from the weekend, plus I had a little incident with the lemonade last night and needless to say my snowman blanket got a LITTLE sticky. So I did that and then I went and checked out the Rugged Warehouse that is right down the road from my school, I got a dress for 3 dollars!! Now that is a bargain for a broke college kid. I came back after I did homework in the computer lab for a few hours and I took a niccccccccccccceeeee long nap. I then went to Moe's with Katie and Lindsey and we had quite the exciting adventure. We brought our food back and ate with Casey and Megan and then went up to the bookstore for a bit. Now I am back working on my paper, I am more than halfway done, praise the Lord!

I LOVE IT HERE! I am so busy all the time which I love, and I have made so many awesome friends. There is always someone to hang out with and something to do! I also have been laughing so hard I cry, and I LOVE IT!! Tomorrow is going to be a good day, Laundry and then going out to eat with a group of friends. Today was good too, long though, basically I have done nothing. I had class allllllllllllllllllllllllll day and then I came back and slept forever. Haha, then went out with Katie, Meg and Casey, came back and did homework, and then shower....and now bed! But life here is great, I miss you guys so much!!!!!

Forgiveness- My God thought of the day :D

So I am deciding what to do for my prayer group Tuesday, and I am torn between Comfort and Forgiveness, but I thought I would just share what the bible says about forgiveness- both about how He forgives us and how we need to and are called to forgive others. Enjoy!

Forgive

–verb (used with object)

1.	to grant pardon for or remission of (an offense, debt, etc.); absolve.

2.	to give up all claim on account of; remit (a debt, obligation, etc.).

3.	to grant pardon to (a person).

4.	to cease to feel resentment against: to forgive one's enemies.

5.	to cancel an indebtedness or liability of: to forgive the interest owed on a loan.

–verb (used without object)

6.	to pardon an offense or an offender.

Matthew 6:14
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:15
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

 ³⁵"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

Luke 17:3-4

³So watch yourselves.
      "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. ⁴If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

God forgives us for what we do, and therefore we should forgive others. I have come to realize its alot easier said than done....how many people do we not talk to anymore because they upset us and we refuse to forgive and forget? How many people do we still hold grudges against because we refuse to let the offenses against us go? Its hard sometimes too, when its something major. If someone killed our parents, are we suppose to forgive them and be all buddy buddy with them? I don't believe that is what Christ is trying to say, I believe we are suppose to forgive them in our heart and just let all the anger we had against them go...that doesn't mean we have to hang out with the person who killed our parents! Its so hard though, because people make us angry and we just don't want to talk to them anymore or have anything to do with them. But I ask you this....does it really matter what they did to you? In the long run, whats worth more....losing a friend because of something they did against you, or keeping a friend after forgiveness has happened and trust is built back up? In the long run, does staying mad at your friend really matter? What if your friend (or family member or whoever, I am just using an example)  would die tomorrow and you never got to say your sorry or ask for forgiveness? I know that makes me think.....anyways.....I dont know if I am making sense or not, but I am going to try from now on to forgive those who have done me wrong and then just move on. there is no sense holding on to all the hurt and anger for so long, it will just make you miserable :)

John 20:23
If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

Colossians 3:13
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Another busy day in paradise....

Went to convo today! It was all about why we should vote and stuff, which was pretty good. I changed my voter registration so that I will be able to vote here, especially since alot of the local issues are things that affect the students here. So that was good :) I really liked the speaker and the stories about his family. Afterwards, I did the exciting adventure of...LAUNDRY!!!! Yes, I know the excitement is just overwhelming up inside of you, but please try and contain yourselves. So that was fun, I kinda just did that throughout the day....first I went and washed them, then I came back and put them in the dryer, then I came back and folded them up and took them back to my dorm (I took Randi and Bre with me that time). I spent alot of the day just relaxing and having some alone time which is sometimes needed here. I took a walk, which was nice, after the sun had come out. Then I went to Judgement House with Lindsey and Crystal, which was really good. It was really sad but I really enjoyed it, if you can enjoy something like that. But it was just really good and last I heard I believe they had like ....17 people get saved tonight, which is AWESOME.

I really enjoy how Satan was portrayed in this skit...but since Lauren may be reading this and she is going to be seeing it tomorrow, I wont say anything about it until AFTER Judgement House is over.

Sarah and Lauren are coming up tomorrow! yay!! I am very excited, I can't wait to see them. I plan on just sleeping in tomorrow really late, but I may be getting up to skype elizabeth! YAY! I hope I can, I miss her so much!! My best friend is a missionary over in South Africa, and I really really really miss her.

Love to be busy!

Hey everyone, so I know I haven't posted in a couple days, I am sorry! But life has been a bit busy. I am starting to get more and more homework, so its pretty cool :D 

Today was a good day :) I just got back from supper with Linds and Casey, then coffee with Bianca, and then laughing hysterically with Katie and Sarah. I really should be doing homework right now....I have one more bible verse to memorize and I have to work on my psych outline which i have absolutely NO desire to do. I mean, seriously, who likes to read Psych articles? NOT me. haha...

anyways, so I made an idiot out of myself today. I was just walking around campus heading to supper, and I was carrying a notebook with some papers on top. Well Mr. Wind came and blew one of the papers off the stack and I started chasing it down the sidewalk because it was important. Well I couldn't catch it and I kept laughing which made it even harder. Then it took a sharp right up a hill and I went to run after it, but I am wearing my slippery flippy floppys, so i slipped and fell RIGHT on my butt in front of everyone. I was laughing so hard, and I got grass stains on my jeans. Delightful. I know.

I really love the fellowship of this school. And the SLD's and RA's are amazing to just talk to and pour out your heart to. I am really grateful that God brought me to the school and has given me so many new amazing friends, and for the leadership on my hall. I really wish everyone could experience this with me!!!

I am home for the weekend! Its really nice just to get a break and to relax and collect myself. Weeks at school go by so fast! Every minute of my day is filled with something, and when its not I am either napping (yes, I know fully understand the concept of napping since I do it atleast twice a week at school now) or doing homework!
Right now I am just relaxing at home even though there are a few things I should be doing at the moment, I have a book to start reading a quiz to do...I really should go work on that when I am done here! I am baking brownies at the moment, I should also go check on those....*checks* okay I have 2 minutes before they are done! 
Today was nice, I slept in late and then after I woke up I went with Michael to go drop my sister off at her school, so that was nice. When we got back I went to a cookout with my family and Marcel, who is our German exchange student who is staying with us who is SO NICE. i am so glad he could come to America! I am heading back to school tomorrow, I am kinda sad because I love and miss my family alot. I also miss the cooking! I am so sick of eating caf food and pizza hut! But I do LOVE school so so so much and I am going to miss it when I leave (which is a whiles away so I don't know why I am thinking about it right now!) I also got to see my grandparents last night which was really nice and my sister and brother!
