Psalms

I have been reading a Psalm ever day with my quiet time, sometimes two. They fit with every emotion that we all go through. There are some to read when you are happy and praising God, some to read when you are sad, some to read when you are afraid, some to read when you are angry, and some to read just to get a glimpse of His glory.

Here are a few of my favorites that I have read over the past couple of days:

Psalm 119:35
"Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight"

Psalm 13
" How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Look on me and answer, O Lord my God. Give light ot my eyes, or I will sleep  in death; my enemy will say, 'I have overcome him,' and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me. "

Psalm 38:15
"I wait for you, O Lord; you will answer, O lord my God."

Psalm 40:1-3
" I waited patiently for the Lord; he turend to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he se tmy feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord."
