Last night I found joy in going to see the midnight premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger tides with friends and family. It was SO GOOD and SO MUCH FUN. I love movies, Pirates, friends and family so it was a great combination. It was also in 3D which made it pretty sweet (though expensive! Why are movies SO EXPENSIVE?! Come on...)
My friend Seth who died last march LOVED the Pirate movies. We went and saw the last two together. It always called me "Poppet" after that. I really wish he could have been there last night.
I can explain that! Since I am apart of the movie business now...3D films are an extra few dollars because the price to produce a film in 3D and the projector to run it cost a lot of money! people blame the theater for high prices but they actually have no say in the price. The rights to show the film each screening are so expensive. The theater itself barley gets money off the ticket so thats why Popcorn and candy are so expensive! since thats what pays the bills. just a little info on the Movie industry.
